Strictly speaking, this slot should have the word ‘hot’ somewhere in the title. It not only borrows the symbols from the popular ‘hot’ range – it even has the flaming animations from that series when you hit a winning combination. With this type of game you get a solid and traditional 5-reel slot game with no gimmicks or frills. There is no bonus game or complex feature to distract you, this is traditional slot gaming pure and simple. The crown in the title does have some special behaviour. When this can create winning combinations, it will expand to cover all 3 of the rows on that reel. This can sometimes create multiple wins out of nowhere. You will also find the progressive jackpots which are shared between all the EGT games.
If you have played any of the ‘hot’ series (for example Flaming Hot or 20 Super Hot) then the design of Shining Crown will be very familiar to you. There is nothing outside of the reels, and the symbols are traditional slot fruit symbols – which have been given a modern makeover. The classics like cherries, melons, plums, lemons and oranges are all in place. In addition there are other classic slot symbols including a red 7 and a bell. There is a purple star (no explanation is given) and the symbol from the title of the game in the form of an elaborate golden crown on a cushion.
